Avalon is a water soluble film used on towels, knitwear or sweater materials to prevent stitches from sinking and disappearing into the fabric
Avalon is cut and framed alongside the base fabric and lies between the fabric and the embroidery design
It therefore provides the necessary extra stability for wide rib knitwear and stretchy fabrics, creating a clear and detailed design
It can also result in a reduction of underlay stitches
Once the embroidery is complete, excess Avalon can simply be pulled away or removed using a steam iron
